I viewed the civil rights exhibit on Friday, June 20 and was most humbled by
The many displays of bravery and sacrifice our forefathers gave for our freedom today. I, being the granddaughter of one of the trial blazers, “Acey Boy” Wilson, First Black Disc Jockey in Knoxville, TN’s early 50’s, feel this is a very important exhibit for all people, no matter what race, or age. It is a documentary of photos that represent a part of American that should never be forgotten. And it was great to see Atlanta’s community take in the photos and gather to discuss what they saw, if they were there, and if in this history, their family may have participated.
